My conclusion:
- Pros to 1.1:
- Almost everyone has it
- Everyone is familiar with it
- It's cheap (or was, they don't sell any Retail NXT-G software separately anymore)
- Cons to 1.1:
- None
- Pros to 2.0:
- It makes the smallest programs of them all
- Cons to 2.0:
- It's sort of glitchy since it was a total remake of the software
- Along with that, we might get into a glitch of the program in middle of the season and have to use 1.1
- Some people on our team (including me) don't know of the technical differences of 2.0 and that will cost extra time out of the day (actually more than 1 day)
- Some of us (including me) aren't interested in 2.0 at all and don't want to have anything to do with it.
So I think this whole 2.0 thing is overstated and really isn't much better if it's better at all. NXT 2.0 is basically out there to get people to buy more stuff.

I would like to correct you: There aren't any glitches, that I have found in the 2.0 software, AND I have been programming with it. And, there really aren't any technical differences, between 2.0 and 1.1, besides the image and sound editor and that it makes smaller programs, and maybe 1 0r 2 new blocks.
Calvin, waiting for next meeting :)
Actually, I used 2.0 last night for 5 minutes And I found a glitch: It won't let you create a MyBlock on the Default profile at all because it pops up with an error and says "You cannot name the MyBlock the same name of an open program.", no matter what you name it. That just gives me an idea of how many (technical) glitches there are since I found that in the first 5 minutes.
Arghhhh, me had that same problem . . . but with 1.0 so its not a version problem. (oh wait its not talk like a pirate day anymore)
oh and i figured out the reason. you have to delete all the existing blocks in a profile before you can make 2.0 myblocks.
